38 Weeks!

38 weeks!!

Holy Hannah! Less than two weeks to go now!
However, I feel like she could come early since I feel she is going to fall out of me! Jason and I have been taking night walks and boy, do I feel the effect! Cramps all night and such heaviness in my pelvis! Hopefully that is a sign that she is to come any day now!!!
Jason and I have now put the change table together. The room is still far from finished, but it is a start. lol
On Friday my friend Taryn is putting on a baby shower for me! I am so excited to see everyone since Jason and I have been gone all summer. All are invited to come. Invitations were sent out via facebook last week through events, so if you didn't get the message it is this Friday, September 28th at 6:00 at the Copperwood LDS church on the westside of Lethbridge.
Jason and I also got to visit with Joe, Amy and Aunt Sandy this past Sunday for her birthday dinner! It was delicious. Aunt Sandy made  Cafe' Rio pulled pork salad... oh my gosh to die for!

I went for my 38 week appointment today and such great news! I am progressing really well and my doctor said that I have all the signs of this baby coming any day now! She said most first births come after the due date, but she doesn't think mine will be much past the due date if sooner. :) I am measuring at 38 weeks and baby is moving a ton. She set my induction date for a week after my due date, October 15th. My mom was thrilled, since her birthday is the 15th!

Symptoms for this past week:
-Cramping... tons and tons of it. Some I have to breathe through.
-Such heaviness in my pelvis that I feel I need to cross my legs or my baby may just fall out of me.

-Night walks are great and most often settle my restless, achy body, especially my legs...and I love walking, holding hands with Jason, in the cool Autumn air discussing our future and excitements!
-still at an 18 pound weight gain
-I am more tired lately and have been taking naps pretty much everyday.
-I am feeling great except for the constant feeling of this baby falling out of me and my pelvis aching all the time.
-Ooo and I still enjoy back and foot rubs from my loving husband pretty much everyday. He is so good to me and is always trying to make me comfortable.

37 Weeks!

37 Weeks!

I have a whopping 3 weeks to go...and still don't have everything done that I need done! I think I need to start finishing a project a day. lol
I had my prenatal classes on Saturday and it was really informative. We took a hospital labour and delivery tour and that kinda freaked me out! I kept thinking, "oh dear, this could be my room in 3 weeks!!" We also went through lots of breathing and relaxing techniques for labour...hope those work. lol

Today, I had my doctors appointment.
No internal exam today, but Dr. Kahn said I am measuring perfectly at 37 weeks. She liked to hear that I was having lots of aches and pains in my lower half and even some contractions that I have had to breathe through. She said that the baby was still head down and sunk way deep into my pelvis squishing my bladder and putting pressure on my cervix. My baby's heart beat today was 145 BPM.

Other than aches and pains in my lower half:
-I am super comfortable.
-I have air conditioning in my house so I am the perfect temperature... Jason on the other hand is always a bit on the cold side. lol
-I sleep so well during the night now that I am in my own bed. Only waking up to use the washroom a couple times at night :)
-I am still at a weight gain of 18.5 LBS
-No stretch marks
-Baby is moving more and more

Not too much longer!

36 Weeks!

36 Weeks!

I have less than a month to go with this pregnancy!

I went to the doctors and it was my first "intrusive exam". I love my doctor, she is wonderful! She had so many good things to say!!

-My uterus is measuring just perfectly at 36 weeks.
-My cervix is soft with my baby's head pressing on it but still closed. Which she said was great because I am farther along than most women at 36 weeks who usually still have hard cervix's. I told her I was feeling numbing sensations and heaviness in my pelvis and she said that was good and that the baby's head was doing its job pressing on the cervix.

-The baby has dropped into my pelvis and that is why I am feeling numbness and pains.
-I still sit at a total weight gain of 18.5 pounds.

The baby was moving around so much during the exam. She tried to get the heart beat, but my little girl kept moving away and kicking the doppler- Dr. Kahn said I have an active little girl! It was also nice to have Jason there. During the summer I went to all my doctors appointments alone because he was working.
-
Jason and I got back from the cabin a couple days ago. We have cleaned the house from 4 months of dust collection and have started setting up our little girls room. It is becoming ever more real that I am going to be a mom in just shy of a month-especially when at church they discuss certain things that are upcoming, like the Calgary temple dedication, and realizing I will have a baby by then!
Jason and his brother Kevin set up the crib the other night. I have washed all the baby clothes and started putting them into drawers
I do have some projects to finish up before our baby comes:
-Her Halloween costume needs to be sewn together... yeah, she will practically be a month old by then!
-I need to finish crocheting her cocoon.
-Sew her change table cover.
-Reupholster the rocking chair Grandma Bullock gave us.

Sorry this post was so long, but I had so much to catch up on!

35 Weeks/3 Years of absolute bliss!

35 Weeks!

Ah! I just have the month of September to go and then BAM, she is here!
Since we are at the cabin this week I don't have a TRUE pregnancy photo, but some pictures with me in them. lol  Week 36 will resume the regular pregnancy pictures!

S'more roasting at the Oler's cabin

Sleeping on my own bed has been glorious! Pregnancy is now that much easier.  Jason and I set up a few baby things practically the minute we came through the door. We are so excited to be parents, we could hardly wait a day to get somethings put together. :)Saturday night we went over to Jason's parents house and had a good time chatting with his parents and Kev and Bre. Breanne and I also went through baby clothes that mom got for us from a garage sale. It was like Christmas! I think Jason and I are pretty well set for this girl to come. On Monday we are going to go over to Grandma Bullocks and pick up the rocking chair she has for us!
This last week has been crazy with moving back to Lethbridge, but we are now at Echo Lake enjoying every moment of holidaying!

yum!

We came to the cabin Sunday after church in our home ward. It was so nice to see everyone! Sunday night we enjoyed some time with our friends Lee and Judy Oler and Brittney and Lee Atwood at the cabin. The Olers invited us over for a s'mores roasting. It was great spending time with friends and enjoying the beautiful weather down here.

I know I don't look Very happy in this picture, but Jason caught me off guard! lol

On Monday we went back to the Olers' cabin in Blackies Bay and enjoyed a day of fun in the sun!

We LOVE little Blaise! Ps. Thanks Lee for the awesome candid picture of me! lol

We went paddle (SUP) boarding. It was Jason's first time on one.

Then the Murray's picked all of us up for a lesson or two on wake surfing.
Blaise didn't love her life jacket. lol

It was another first for Jason and he was a pro! He got up, pulled himself closer to the boat, let go of the rope and surfed for a long time- all on his first try!

I called this his little cocoon!
Jason got burnt on Monday... like really burnt, so Tuesday and Wednesday he wore a shirt to cover up down at the lake. This is his favourite spot! He enjoyed reading in the hammock and basking in the gorgeous 27'C weather!!

The water was glass and really warm!

Today is Jason and my 3rd Anniversary! 3 Years!!! Crazy how fast time goes by. It has been the best 3 years of my life! We have been so happy together and now blessed to have a little baby to raise in only one month. Our lives are changing so much, but we are thrilled for the blessing to raise a daughter.
We are finally celebrating an anniversary together! Every other year, Jason has been doing post season for Vivint and is gone on our anniversary. This year, I get him ALL to myself at the cabin! What a better way to celebrate true happiness than at the cabin!! lol
Jason is truly my best friend. He makes me so happy and I love being married to a man that makes me want to be better everyday. I am one lucky woman!

Happy Anniversary LOVE!

34 Weeks!

34 Weeks!!

Holy Moley! This summer just flew on by! It is so bitter sweet. I am excited to be going home, but Edmonton has been so good to us and we are going to miss it!
This week is going to be so busy. We leave Friday and I have lots of packing and cleaning to do before then. Jason's sister is also moving into her new house this week so we will be helping out with that as well.  We are thrilled for them!
I did happen to finish my baby's blanket though! I'll post pictures when I have more time! lol I am also half way through my baby wrap...I need to find some cute wooden buttons! After I get back from the cabin, I'll post all the crafting I've been doing!

I feel pretty good at 34 weeks.
-My skin feels like it is stretching... ok, obviously it is stretching, but it feels weird and sometimes itchy!
-My vision is a little more blurred, but my doctor said that is to be expected with the hormones and fluid.
-I feel like my balance is off... more than usual.

-Sleeping is getting more difficult with my legs and wrists being so achy and restless?! Wintergreen oil, and Jason's AMAZING foot rubs every night (yep, Jason is pretty much the best) take care of it pretty well!
-Jason and I are pretty sure on our baby girls name!
-Our little girl kicks and moves like crazy!!! Jason is better able to feel her movements now. She loves her daddy and moves tons more when Jason is around. She especially moves when Jason talks to her through my stomach... Adorable!

33 Weeks!

33 Weeks!

I have been feeling fantastic lately (pregnancy wise).
-Some days I feel like my belly grows overnight, and other days I feel like it shrinks. lol I don't know if any other mom's out there felt that way during pregnancy... just depends on the day for me. Perhaps it's her position that day in my uterus that has my belly fluctuate so much.

I took this picture yesterday and was feeling EXTRA huge! Today I feel like she must have moved positions and my stomach looks much smaller...weird.

-Had a little bloating in my feet and ankles (but nothing that a little foot massage from Jason can't fix) -He has been amazing this whole pregnancy. I get spoiled every day! He works all day and comes home to take care of me. When we went to the water park today, he carried my tube up the stairs every ride and was so attentive to anything I needed.
-Other than that, same little symptoms like achy joints and pains in my lower abs.
-

This week has been amazing! I had so much fun with the wives here everyday soaking up the Edmonton rays!
Jason and I also went to my aunt and uncles yesterday for Sunday dinner. So many of my cousins, aunts and uncles were there that it felt like a mini family reunion. It was amazing to catch up with all of them and the food was to die for!
My cousin Joe got married on Saturday to his lovely new wife Amy! I am so happy for the both of them!
I am shocked that there is only 2 weeks left in the summer!!! We are packing up and heading home next Saturday. Edmonton has been great to us and I am really going to miss the summer life with the wives. This has been such a great summer, but I am getting a little trunky.  lol for a couple reasons... Once we get back home, we are off to Echo Lake for a week! I LOVE Echo, and can't wait to share it with Jason.  Then we have a nursery to decorate. My parents brought up my Amazon purchases to our home on the weekend and I cant wait to open everything up and put it together!
Today Jason and I went to West Edmonton Mall Water Park with some of the other couples in our Vivint office. It was nice to get out and have some time not working (at least for Jason). What a great way to start off the week!

32 Weeks!

32 Weeks!

Oh my heck... I was sooo sick last week!  I am still trying to shake it off, but I am doing MUCH better.
Nothing too fun to talk about from last week as I was pretty much in bed the whole time. lol

ps. I have been sick, no judging this week on how I look. lol

I did however have a doctors appointment, and with being sick lost a couple pounds. I was surprised because usually, I gain a couple, prepping myself for the gain every time I step on the scale lol (which is slightly depressing when one exercises 6 times a week...but understandable being pregnant and all!)

Still same symptoms as last week:
A little heart burn
Sore ribs... she is definitely creeping up into my ribs. OUCH!
RLS
Achy joints and lower ABS

-

Jason has been working early for the past two weeks and this coming week since he and his team are in the home stretch of the Vivint Cup! The guys work super long hours and it is trying on the body and mind. But Jason and his team are doing so good! Up for grabs in prizes are things like a Caribbean cruise, snow boards, etc. (I would be up for a cruise in a couple months!)
I have not seen much of Jason during CUP time since he leaves at 8am and is home around 11:30pm, but he does a great job of loving me and our baby when he comes home and in the morning :) The other night Jason and I were lying on the bed and he came over and started talking to my stomach, rubbing it and conversing to our little girl inside of me. He would talk to her and then press his head on my stomach to wait for a reply. Well he got it, a whopping round house kick to the head from the inside of my stomach! lol I guess our baby already knows how much of a tease her dad can be! On a daily basis I am in awe of how loving and caring Jason is. How did I get so lucky?!
Yesterday was LOVELY! Sunday's are like Christmas to us in the summer! We went for a picnic with some of the other couples on the team, and enjoyed EVERY moment we had together! We discussed our trip we are going to take to the cabin in September and all the fun new baby stuff heading our way(setting up the nursery, buying clothes, planning our daily schedules with a new addition etc.)
OOOO... and this week is SHARK WEEK on discovery channel!
STOKED!

9 weeks and counting!

31 Weeks!

I feel great!

I am learning ways to fix certain symptoms I have been having.
-My wrists and joints hurt at night some times. I have been putting a heating pad on my wrists at night and it seems to be making a difference.
-heartburn... hmm. I think I might have to try some TUMS. lol Last night Jason made a great Korean meal called Bokumbop. It was so delicious and I am uber proud of his  culinary skills, but oh. my. gosh. it was SOOOOO hot!!!  I think I had heartburn for 5 hours!! I told Jason he is going to have to make it again, but AFTER I have this baby. lol
-At church, I do a lot of standing at the back.  Sitting now is so uncomfortable on my ribs, but I have been able to manage it will with frequent standing trips to the back of the room. lol.
-

This past week was very eventful! Jason has been starting work at 9 lately because of the Vivint Cup. I have made lots of outings to spray parks and pools with the other wives and LOVE being outside.
While at the pool on Saturday, the wives and I spotted a VERY pregnant lady (most of us are pregnant so to spot other pregnant ladies is super easy. lol). She was sitting on the grass and got up, and all of the sudden SO MUCH FLUID was coming out of her. I thought she was peeing her pants, but nope, HER WATER BROKE! haha. Who would have thought I'd witness something like that! We all cheered her on as she left the pool. :)
On Sunday, Jason and I went to Tanner and Deedee's church for the blessing of their baby boy. We then went over to Tanners parents place for lunch. Love that family! After lunch we raced home to have the missionaries over for dinner. Jason and I also picked up our baby car seat that we bought off Kijiji. And if you thought our day was over, nope, I also cut Jason's curly locks!
 Can I say pooped!
I have also been working on crocheting a baby cocoon, but it's not really a cocoon... I don't really know what to call it, but it is cute! Mine is cream coloured.

The purple baby blanket is almost finished! I think I will do another 3 or 4 inches!! It has been a long time coming so I am glad it is almost completed.

Sorry for the long post, but there was just so much going on from last week.
