Alyssa and Gid come to Canada!

SO I know I have not blogged in a while, sorry.
My best friend Alyssa came up to visit me with her husband Gid just over a week ago. Having them here was such a joy! I wish they lived in Canada, alas, they are from Salt Lake City, Utah. But the week adventure was a wonderful experience for all.
I was going to do a big blog about the whole week, day by day and then I discovered Alyssa had about the same idea....and hers is MUCH better, so I am going to copy and paste a link you can go to, to see about our awesome week together!

Hopefully this link works!

New Years Eve Party

I know this post kinda late, but I had to put up the pictures of New Years Eve
Jason and I helped out with the YSA yacht party held at my parents place.

Everyone that attended dressed in their finest and has a character they played with everything being super ridiculous and pompous!

The Captain of the Yacht

For instance my character was Pepe'. My husband Horrace was away on business in Milan and I was attending my cousins newly bought yacht party. While there I found one of the hired help quite intriguing and irresistible...

His name was Burgeron Poupon'

We had our tall wine glasses in hand at all times. Each glass full of age old "wine" while sporting our ridiculously large engagement or wedding rings!

yes, yes, that is mine.

The hired help was satisfactory I suppose. We had valet parking, a handsome butler, concierge, servers, kitchen staffmaids etc.

There was delicious catered food, fireworks and a piano player that played throughout the night.

Unfortunately there was a couple that got lost on their way to a hawaiian party

Needless to say all the guests were highly unimpressed!

It was a fantastic way to bring in the new year. I think I'll host a themed party next year!

Happy 2012!!

I heart Halloween!

Jason and I hosted a halloween party last night. It was so fun preparing for the epic night!

Our kitchen transformed into Haunted goodness!

 I had bought spooky
Halloween music and man, it was really creepy,
I mean really creepy! I had to turn it off half way though the night

Jason did a good job with all the webbing throughout the house.

 SO much fun!

The candles were a nice touch. I lit them for the night, praying that the webbing wouldn't light on fire.

These are my bat straws! I think they are uber adorable!!

I made this wreath out of toothpicks!

My favourite childhood decoration is now in our home. Thank you mother dearest!!

"Witch parking only! Violators will be TOAD!"

I made the brooms and the sign... needless to say it was a fun project. Love the toad on the front porch. A nice touch right!

I made the spider ball topiaries and think they are a nice touch to Jasons' fantastic webbing.

Thank you mom for some of the Halloween decorations! The tomb stones are a nice touch to our front yard!

You cannot have a party without treats. Making these treats was a blast!

I love the hand in the punch. Thank you dental office for the gloves!

 Globs!

We had some great costumes from our guests...

Kevin and Breanne King as Nacho Libre and Encarnacion

Dean, Breanne and Hazel Walters as Silver medalist Olympians... they are humble olympic medalists!

Jason and I as Tony Stark and Pepper Potts from Iron Man

Tandy and Kris Jones as Minions

Mike and Brittany Lowry were attached at the hip... literally.

Taryn and Brian Booth as Poison Ivy and The Riddler

We played lots of halloween games, ate tons and ton and finished off the night with a SCARY movie!

2 Exquisite Years!

Today marks TWO years with my beloved Jason! He is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Two years ago today I made the best decision of my life. Jason has enriched my world with love, laughter and happiness.

We all know how he felt about receiving lines!
Haha! Too funny.

Each day gets better

and better!

Jason constantly thinks of ways to make my day a little brighter. Even when he is away he makes sure I am cared for and looked after.

He knows just how to cheer me up on those gloomy days! And make any ordinary tuesday something you never want to forget

I look forward to more date nights, family fun, laughs, ordinary Tuesdays, waking up next to my Jason, and conversations about our hopes and ambitions in life.

Jason, Thank you for lighting my life and making me the happiest grill!
