21 Weeks!

21 Weeks!

Holy Cow!
I can't believe how fast these weeks are going by. I swear just yesterday I was only 12 weeks waiting to hear the heart beat!

So, sadly nothing new to report.
Feel great and oh! All the advice about those hip charlie horses have helped! Thank you everyone! Traci, I have been putting my feet up every night since you've told me and no more puffing!! Yay me!

Oh, and I went back blonde... I missed it!
(and now I have my excuse back! lol)

Half way there...

20 Weeks... 3 days.

YAY!
I am half way there. I feel great at 20 weeks. I have, although, changed a  little bit.
  • I have now gained 1 pound
  • gained 1/2 an inch in my stomach!
  • Feel the baby move like crazy
  • Sitting down is more awkward because I feel something there...kinda in the way. lol

Progress right!!

Now about the photos for this week... no judging. lol I've been helping out for two weddings in both Arizona and at home in Medicine Hat. So I didn't bring my best outfits or do my hair... or really anything. So just love. <3

I do have a funny story though. In my previous pregnancy weeks I had not been swelling at all, or if I was a little bit, I am not complaining anymore. The other night I looked down at my foot after a long day and my foot, yes, just my one foot was HUGE! It kinda looked like it had a bad case of elephantiasis. I showed my mom and her eyes got real big and all she said was, "Britt, I think you need to ice that." lol  Luckily, it went away by the morning.

Last week I was in such shock and awe that we had a baby girl on the way. I would go through the stores and pass by the kids section and now know that I need to look at the girl kid section. Before this week, it just seemed so surreal. I would look time and time again at my ultrasound pictures and think, "wow, that is inside me and IT is now a girl!!"

But this week, I am now getting out of the shock stage and am super excited!
Last week I turned 25 and a dear friend gave me my first baby girl onsie! It has strawberries on it and is so adorable! I can't wait to start buying little clothes for our baby girl. I am resisting right now by not going into the baby section anymore. I have had too many close calls of wanting to buy out the store. lol.

Boy or Girl!?

So Jason and I just got back from the ultrasound and our little baby was quite cooperative in letting us know what sex it was....

It's a GIRL!

We couldn't be more happy!
Isn't she the cutest thing you ever did see?!

In this one she is giving us the peace sign. lol the ultrasound tech. thought it was hilarious and had to give us a copy of this one!

In this one she is sucking her thumb!
Presh right!?!
The ultrasound tech left the room to have the radiologist take a look at all the pictures.  It was nice to have some time with just Jason in the room. The ultrasound tech left the picture above on the screen while she was gone.  Jason and I thought she looked like a girl and we were right!  Once the ultrasound tech came back she showed us the picture that she determined the sex by. Our little girl was not shy and was totally spread eagle! lol. She had us guess... (I didn't even know what I was looking at or for!) She showed us the legs and then the area to look.  It was plain as day...(after she blatantly pointed it out. lol) GIRL!

Jason and I are very happy that we are having a girl! During the ultrasound our little girl was moving around sooo much and had the hiccups! We had the best ultrasound tech too. She let me pee a whole 2 cups!!! That was a relief! Took the pressure off so I could enjoy the ultrasound!  The radiologist said everything looked great. It makes us happy to know that our baby girl is healthy!

19 weeks... almost half way there!

19 Weeks!

So at 19 weeks I feel pretty much the same as weeks 1-18... I know boring.
One thing that has changed though is that at night I get the worst cramps or like charlie horses in my hips. I've tried putting pillows in between my legs while I sleep, but no... still get them. At least I have a wonderful husband who rubs the charlie horses out!
He is so sweet to me!

Tomorrow I go to my ultra sound appointment... on my birthday! I thought for the longest time I would be having a girl, but now that the ultrasound appointment is so close, I am second guessing myself. lol

For mothers day yesterday Jason got me the book, "What to expect when you're expecting." Of course I cried my eyes out because I cry a lot.... for no reason. lol  And then to top it off he got me the cutest little newborn booty shoes! Of course they were boy shoes because Jason thinks it's a boy. haha. So if it is a girl, I guess she can wear blue shoes?!?! lol.

18 weeks!

18 weeks 2 days!

So I just dawned on me that since my doctor changed my due date from October 10th to October 8th I start each new week on Monday now instead of Wednesday!!
So usually I would say I am 18 weeks, but now with the change I am 18 weeks 2 days!

No changes from last week. Still feeling great! I have my doctors appointment tomorrow. I cant wait to get my referral for my ultrasound!

So what do you think...

Boy or Girl!?

17 Weeks 5 days!

17 Weeks... 5 days!
 (125 days pregnant today!)

Sorry about the huge shadow on half this picture...or all the pictures really. I'll have to remember to take the pictures earlier in the day. lol

17 weeks is great so far. My blog post from a couple of days ago is still the same update. The only difference is that I am now  for sure that the movements I feel are the baby... there is NO way my stomach is this active!

I have been continuing Crossfit 6 times a week and swim about every other day on top of Crossfit. I hope that by staying active I will only gain the necessary pounds for the baby's health And perhaps have an easy labour?!?! :)

I am super happy to be pregnant during the summer. I know, I know you think I am crazy with all the heat summer provides.  But with Jason's job being the 4 months in the summer, I can just relax! And FYI my apartment this summer does NOT have air conditioning. lol So I'm sure I will be blogging a lot about how warm I am and staying in the pool ALL summer long. :)

So, the shirt I am wearing is a little poofy and flowy
so in this picture I am holding my shirt to me.

15 Weeks

15 Weeks!

This was 2 weeks ago. Mind you, with the move to Edmonton I didn't get a 16 week picture. Tomorrow I plan on posting a 17 weeks 4 days picture. It won't be anything exciting because I look the same. lol I feel and look the same as when I was not pregnant. This pregnancy has been a breeze so far. I have had no morning sickness or any kind of symptoms I feel pretty blessed right now. I still have not gained any weight or inches. Everyone just tells me to wait, and that it will come soon enough. :) This past week I think I have been feeling the baby move around. It is kinda like butterflies or that my stomach is rolling around.  It blows my mind that there is something living inside me. What a beautiful thing! I go for my OBGYN appointment next Thursday. There I will get a referral for my ultrasound!! In less than 2 weeks I will be far enough along to find out the sex...which of course  I will... I'm not very patient.

Jason thinks it's a boy and I think it is a girl. lol No matter what we will be happy! This baby is such a blessing and we are so excited!

I am 17 weeks on Wednesday and LOVING life! If only I would just start showing! Hopefully within the next couple weeks I'll just pop.
This baby is such a blessing for Jason and I and we are thrilled to expand our little family!

Alyssa and Gid come to Canada!

SO I know I have not blogged in a while, sorry.
My best friend Alyssa came up to visit me with her husband Gid just over a week ago. Having them here was such a joy! I wish they lived in Canada, alas, they are from Salt Lake City, Utah. But the week adventure was a wonderful experience for all.
I was going to do a big blog about the whole week, day by day and then I discovered Alyssa had about the same idea....and hers is MUCH better, so I am going to copy and paste a link you can go to, to see about our awesome week together!

Hopefully this link works!

New Years Eve Party

I know this post kinda late, but I had to put up the pictures of New Years Eve
Jason and I helped out with the YSA yacht party held at my parents place.

Everyone that attended dressed in their finest and has a character they played with everything being super ridiculous and pompous!

The Captain of the Yacht

For instance my character was Pepe'. My husband Horrace was away on business in Milan and I was attending my cousins newly bought yacht party. While there I found one of the hired help quite intriguing and irresistible...

His name was Burgeron Poupon'

We had our tall wine glasses in hand at all times. Each glass full of age old "wine" while sporting our ridiculously large engagement or wedding rings!

yes, yes, that is mine.

The hired help was satisfactory I suppose. We had valet parking, a handsome butler, concierge, servers, kitchen staffmaids etc.

There was delicious catered food, fireworks and a piano player that played throughout the night.

Unfortunately there was a couple that got lost on their way to a hawaiian party

Needless to say all the guests were highly unimpressed!

It was a fantastic way to bring in the new year. I think I'll host a themed party next year!

Happy 2012!!

I heart Halloween!

Jason and I hosted a halloween party last night. It was so fun preparing for the epic night!

Our kitchen transformed into Haunted goodness!

 I had bought spooky
Halloween music and man, it was really creepy,
I mean really creepy! I had to turn it off half way though the night

Jason did a good job with all the webbing throughout the house.

 SO much fun!

The candles were a nice touch. I lit them for the night, praying that the webbing wouldn't light on fire.

These are my bat straws! I think they are uber adorable!!

I made this wreath out of toothpicks!

My favourite childhood decoration is now in our home. Thank you mother dearest!!

"Witch parking only! Violators will be TOAD!"

I made the brooms and the sign... needless to say it was a fun project. Love the toad on the front porch. A nice touch right!

I made the spider ball topiaries and think they are a nice touch to Jasons' fantastic webbing.

Thank you mom for some of the Halloween decorations! The tomb stones are a nice touch to our front yard!

You cannot have a party without treats. Making these treats was a blast!

I love the hand in the punch. Thank you dental office for the gloves!

 Globs!

We had some great costumes from our guests...

Kevin and Breanne King as Nacho Libre and Encarnacion

Dean, Breanne and Hazel Walters as Silver medalist Olympians... they are humble olympic medalists!

Jason and I as Tony Stark and Pepper Potts from Iron Man

Tandy and Kris Jones as Minions

Mike and Brittany Lowry were attached at the hip... literally.

Taryn and Brian Booth as Poison Ivy and The Riddler

We played lots of halloween games, ate tons and ton and finished off the night with a SCARY movie!
