Jason's 26th Birthday!

Happy 26th Birthday LOVE!

I have been planning Jason's birthday for quite some time now.  Having birthday's during the summer work season isn't always the most ideal because of the long work hours.  I always pray every year our birthdays will fall on a Sunday because that is Jason's only day off. When his birthday is on a Sunday I can spoil him all day instead of trying to cram all my love and birthday surprises in a couple hours when he gets home from work. lol

Jason loves white chocolate and vanilla anything, and doesn't really care for chocolate cake. So I made him a confetti cake this year... he loved it!

Jasons birthday fell on a Monday this year. I woke him up with breakfast in bed and then prepped all day to make Jasons evening fantastic!

Jason is incredibly easy to please. He wanted beef stew for his birthday meal with squishy buns! lol (that's what we call those Safeway homestyle buns that are uber soft and squishy)

I asked him what he wanted for his birthday dinner and he said everything I make is delicious and he would be happy with anything. Sweet right!
I decided to give him 2 choices, homemade Chicken Fettucine Alfredo or beef stew (thinking it was a no brainer and planning being in the kitchen all day making Fettucine). Nope, Jason perks up and says "Ooo, I have not had your famous beef stew in a while" (my famous beef stew consists of throwing all the left overs in from roast beef, potatoes and gravy from our Sunday meal into the crockpot... so hard right!?)

I went to the store and got Jason "Sherlock Holmes" for his birthday present. I dressed the table with all of Jasons favourite snacks and prepared for dinner and a movie on the pull-out bed. Mom King, I was planning on having that delicious white chocolate bunny on the menu for one of the snacks but Jason had that down in the morning.  lol So I opted for the next best thing- white chocolate Hershey's Cookies and Cream.

You would be impressed by my technology skills... I, yes I got the digital copy hooked up on my laptop and then connected it to our Apple TV because we don't have a DVD player here in this apartment.  Some might think that is an easy feat, but for me, it took some serious skills that I didn't think I had...And needless to say Jason was thoroughly impressed.

Jason got home around 11PM last night so I had to get his birthday celebrations rollin fast! He opened his presents from his family and I. Jason's parents got him a weed wacker!! Sweet! I was thrilled with his gift and was happy that I was married to him so I could use it! My parents sent Jason movie tickets for the Cineplex. They know that a good way to relax during the summer is going to a great movie on a Saturday night-and yet again, love the present because I get to go as his date!!

I sang happy birthday to him in the famous Hill tradition which makes dogs howl. lol It was sad not to have some wicked awful harmony going on since it was just me singing, but I think I nailed it anyhow! haha.

We chowed down on stew, cake and snacked on all the goodies while watching Sherlock Holmes and cuddling on the pull out. Jason also got his feet and back rubbed. What a spoiled boy!

When we woke up this morning Jason leaned over and kissed me. He told me that his birthday yesterday was the best birthday he has ever had!
Mission accomplished!

25 Weeks!

25 Weeks!

I feel great a 25 weeks. Today is Jasons 26th birthday and I thought it was interesting that I was 25 weeks along and it is the 25th of June...
Jason is the most amazing man I could have ever asked for. He treats me with such love and respect. He constantly finds ways to brighten my day and make me feel more comfortable.  The other night I was boiling hot because it had been 30+ degrees in Edmonton and our apartment felt like 40+. I was tossing and turning in our bed, had 2 ice packs, 2 fans and no sheets. YOU think I would have been an ice cube! Nope... hot. Jason woke up and asked me how I was doing and then went into the kitchen to get me ice and water to cool my core temp. He then focused the fans more on me kissed me and said if I needed anything he was right here. Precious right! Well in the morning I woke up and thanked him for making my night more comfortable and he didn't even remember doing any of it!! lol At least I know that he is sweet heart even if he is dead asleep
I can hardly wait for this little girl to come. Jason is so ready to be a daddy and I know she is one lucky girl to have him. He has every attribute and skill needed to be a father. Every time I see him with other babies it melts my heart! He is so good with them and can even get the fussiest baby to sleep- his secret you might ask? He sings in their ear and dances to a beat with them instead of the usual rocking lol. :) Our kids will definitely love music!

Happy Birthday LOVE!
You are my best friend and love of my life!

This pregnancy is flying by!
At 25 weeks:
-I don't sleep! I usually can fall asleep really fast but lately I have been finally dozing off consistently around 4AM!

-Last night was the first night that my baby girl woke me up kicking me violently! I had the most ferocious hunger pains! So I got up and ate a little snack and as soon as I did, she stopped moving and I think fell asleep... I think her appetite is going to be like her fathers! Crazy night none the less.
- I have now gained a total of 9 pounds
-My little girl weighs 1.5-2.5 pounds and is the size of a cauliflower I found those statistic on one of my many baby sites. lol
-I have been getting more migraines lately too. I usually get about one a year and now during this pregnancy I've had 3 thus far.

Yeah, that's right... 6 months baby!

24 Weeks!

At 24 weeks...
- I have been having more and more braxton hicks
-Earlier in the week I was having some pains in my lower abs... probably just my little girl making some more room for herself.
-I cannot get sleep at night for the life of me! I think it is just because I sleep with a space heater...a.k.a Jason. lol I think without AC this summer I will be investing in a floor fan. Cuddling with Ice packs at night to cool myself down is just not cutting it! lol (but in all seriousness, I really do sleep with multiple ice packs every night)

My hair isn't done for the day, so no judging. lol

Yesterday was Fathers Day! I wanted fathers day to be about being  father, and since our little girl isn't here yet to give her daddy kisses and hugs I got Jason a onesie that when I saw it, I knew he would LOVE!

So Jason might not be having a son, but his little girl can have something in common with her daddy!

So this little girl is coming to join our family in October. Where am I going to find swim suits for a baby in OCTOBER?! SO, Naturally, after convincing myself I wouldn't be able to find a swim suit in October, I got 2 0-6 month swim suits for our little girl. (on sale for $5.00 no less... with a sale like that, I just HAD to get them. I think I'm loving the Children's Place outlet!)

Presh to death right!

Oh, and last but not least, our wives club Vivint charity project won this Summer and each wife in our office got $100.00 gift certificate to anywhere they want... I think the West Edmonton Mall is a good place to start!

23 Weeks

23 WEEKS!

I can't believe that next week I will be 6 months along or 24 weeks! Time is just flying by and I feel awesome!
At 23 weeks I have now gained a whopping 5 pounds!

You can totally see the cute little bump!

So my blog last week caused a little bit of a stir. lol I felt like I totally popped and I got so many people say they couldn't see the bump! I promise it is there, and if you really know me, you know I don't normally look like this! I feel like I am in the awkward "is she pregnant or just gained a couple pounds in the mid section" stage. lol

Here are a couple shots just before going swimming on Friday.
There is no hiding the bump in a swimsuit!

I went to the doctor the other day and she told me that when I went for my ultra sound they found that I have an anterior placenta. For those who don't know, an anterior placenta simply means that your placenta is positioned on the front wall of your uterus (womb). I thought by baby was a big kicker, but apparently I don't even feel the brunt of it! In order for me to feel kicks from my little girl, she has to also kick through the placenta so I only feel the really big kicks and wiggles.
Interesting.

Oooo. And Jason felt her kick yesterday for the first time. I have been trying to have Jason feel her move and kick for a while now. Every time she moved a ton I ran to get Jason, but by the time he put his hand on my stomach, she stopped... Silly Girl!  But when he finally got to feel her move for the first time last night, he said it was really neat to feel his little girl growing and wiggling around. It definitely made the whole pregnancy more real for me.

22 weeks

22 Weeks!

 Can you see the bump?!

I swear yesterday or last week for that matter it wasn't there, and then today...
POP!

At 22 weeks I can now feel our little girl kicking a lot more strongly. The kicks and wiggles don't just feel like flutterings anymore. :)
Other than that, nothing new but lovin' the summer!
I can't wait to meet this little girl!
